Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a FamCoins account?
FamCoins is currently invite-only while we're in early access. Join the waitlist at famcoins.app — we send out invites in small batches, and each invite includes a secure checkout link. As soon as you complete it, your account is created automatically and your login arrives by email within a minute or two.
I paid but haven't gotten my login email yet. What do I do?
Check your spam/promotions folder first — it comes from no_reply@famcoins.app. If it's been more than 15 minutes, use the contact form at the bottom of this page and we'll look up your payment and get you in manually.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Log into your dashboard and go to Family Settings Billing to upgrade or downgrade at any time. See our Billing guide for details on what changes with each plan.
Do I need to buy NFC cards to use FamCoins?
No — NFC cards are an optional add-on available on Family and Family+ plans. Everything works without them; cards just let kids tap in instead of typing a PIN. See the NFC Cards guide.
My kid has ADHD / is neurodivergent / needs extra support — will FamCoins work for our family?
Yes, and we built real guidance for this — see Supporting Every Learner. Short version: adjustable task complexity per grade, Toddler Mode for younger or higher-support kids, and Character Moments designed to reward effort and emotional regulation, not just task completion.
